What I believe is the true jagpanzer E100 do the fact that late war German tank destroyers like the jagtiger had there gun placement in the middle as only one tank with a back placed gun housing was the Ferdinand it not entirely a good reason but it either looked like the jag-panther or the jag-tiger because having the gun in the back of the tank and not having 360 degrees rotating turret is Bad for gun depression because of the hull
