Entry for the WWII Challenge. The Hawker Hurricane was a single-seat British fighter which earned its fame during the Battle of Britain. Powered by a Rolls-Royce PV-12 (later the Merlin XX), the Hurricane was a fast and effective fighter-bomber which served alongside the mighty Spitfire. The MkIIB variant introduced wing racks for carrying up to 1000lbs of bombs or drop tanks, as well as a longer propeller and new wing mountings for the .50 cal machine guns.
