A heavy fighter designed during the early 1940s. Competing designs were the Grushin Gr-1, Mikoyan-Gurevich DIS (MiG-5), Tairov Ta-3, and Chyetverikov PPI. Only two prototypes were built because the intended enginee proved to be too unreliable to be placed into production. I modeled this one after the first prototype which had three .30 cal ShKAS machine guns in the nose, and two 20mm ShVAK cannon and two .50 cal UBK machine guns in the wing roots. I couldn't find a way to fit the single dorsal and ventral ShKAS machine guns on the airplane.
