Focke-Wulf Ta-152 H1
As the war progresses over Europe, bombing raids were becoming more frequent, and the Luftwaffe was having difficulty keeping up with the ever-higher-flying allied bombers. They anticipated the trend to continue (and were right, as seen with the introduction of the B-29 Superfortress, despite it never flying over Germany). Aircraft manufacturers were pushed to come up with a solution. Focke Wulf's introduction of the Ta-152 was to be that solution.
The Ta-152 H1 was a late German interceptor designed by Focke Wulf's, Kurt Tank. With high-altitude performance in mind, the Ta-152 were given a larger wingspan, allowing it to retain offensive capabilities where air is thin. The aircraft used the Junkers Jumo 213E engine with a 3-speed supercharger, equipped with Germany's water-methanol injection system. Additionally, it also had a two stage GM boost for higher altitudes up to 12500 meters.
Unfortunately, the plane was finished too late in the war, only a few were ever built, but they stand as one of Germany’s most capable aircrafts near the end of the war.
Special
This replica is fitted with the in-game cannons and wing-guns, includes a spinning prop-cowling, automatic nose radiator flaps, automatic speed boosts depending on altitude (to give similar performances at all altitudes), and a GM boost which can be activated manually (significantly increases speed).
Armament
2x 20mm Cannons (in-game cannon & wing-gun)
1x 30mm Cannon (in-game cannon & wing-gun)
Performance
Speed across different altitudes:
<100m: 694 km/h (with GM boost: 849 km/h)
