The year is 2077. The auto market has become over saturated with cookie cutter SUVs and crossovers to the point where younger generations have become uninterested in current lineups. The Dodge motor company has noticed that the youth have an interest in "Old school" cars. This may be because of their rebellious attitude toward society and older generations. In order to capture the attention of these "rebellious" teenagers, Dodge decides to take a look into their past models and take inspiration from them. This is the result. The 2077 Dodge Challenger SRT Hydra. It takes several visual cues from the 1970 Dodge Challenger but adds several modern touches. To add to its "Old school" look, the car features quad headlights, rear louvers, a rear spoiler, a steel bumper, 20" steel wheels, a rear diffuser, chrome quad tip exhaust pipes, chrome trim, and a "Shaker" hood scoop. The underpinnings are however, quite modern. It features a Supercharged 7.0L or 426ci Hemi V8 making 1000hp connected to a 6-speed manual transmission with power being sent to the rear wheels via a limited slip differential. The car ended up being a major hit with both young and older generations, inspiring Dodge, and many other manufacturers to go back to their roots when designing new cars.
