The Emcee Chord was an attack aircraft produced during World War II and used from it's entry into service during World War II, up to it's retirement in the later stage of the Vietnam War. The Chord is the official name of the aircraft, however, the name Cord is also used interchangeably, as it is pronounced the same way. The aircraft is also known by the nickname of the Alicorn, because it similarly has wings and a horn, which in this case is 110mm in diameter. It is also armed with eight brownings, an experimental (for the time) rotary barreled cannon, two smaller cannons based loosely on those equipped on the JU-87, and rockets. During it's service in the Vietnam War, it's rockets were replaced with air to ground missles.
