CL-1200 Lancer
Aircraft Details
In the late 1960s, Lockheed had proposed the CL-1200 Lancer, an improved version of the F-104, as a successor to its own F-104G to NATO countries and the Japanese Air Self-Defense Force.
The CL-1200 was modified with a replacement radar FCS to allow for the operation of the Sparrow air-to-air missile, an extended fuselage to increase fuel capacity, a replacement engine with a TF-30 turbofan, and a normal arrangement of the upper horizontal tail with a shoulder wing and larger main wing for improved maneuverability.
This piece is a work of IF this aircraft had been adopted by the Luftwaffe.

My favorite X-plane!
I WONDER WHY THIS LOOKS SO FRAMILIAR
@Suica np
@MAHADI Tnx!
Holy Cow!
@asteroidbook345 This aircraft will get the name X-27 after improvements to obtain a budget, so it may be more famous than CL-1200.
@asteroidbook345 Lockheed had actually developed it, but no country had adopted it.
