Here's a modified B-23 with six powerful turboprops that's used to launch experimental aircraft. Included as a launch craft is the X-88. The theory is to bring both aircraft up to 35,000 feet, then launch the X-88 and ignite its engine, taking it up to 80,000 feet and then coasting back down to earth.

AG 1 to detach launch craft.
AG 2 to ignite jet engine on X-88.
