History

Pre Construction
The Klaipeda was an Ida-Viru Class Pre-Dreadnought, the last Pre-Dreadnought built by Poland before the creation of the battleship HMS Dreadnought in 1905. The Ida-Viru Class was made to brawl the Danton Class and Mississippi Class Pre-Dreadnoughts of the French and US navies respectfully. The Ida-Viru and Klaipeda we're finished in early 1905. (HMS Dreadnought would not arrive until late 1905.)

Construction
The construction started in late 1904, and the launching took place in January of 1905. Both ships were completed in March of 1905 and commissioned the same month. No changes were made too the ships.

Kyiv War
The Kyiv war saw the Ida-Viru and Klaipeda become a Super Cruiser type ship and were used to fight Russian armored cruisers in the Baltic Sea and the Black Sea. The Klaipeda even got to sink a Archangelesk Class battleship while fighting near the Istanbul strait.

Second Greco-Turkish War
In the Second Greco-Turkish War (1918-1920.) Both the Ida-Viru and Klaipeda were used as gunships too bombard Istanbul against the Turkish rebels, after the war was won by the Greeks and Loyalists the Ida-Viru and the Klaipeda returned too Poland for the last time under their Polish names.

Transfer to Mexico
She was transferred to Mexico in 1924 along with her sister ship the Ida-Viru. Though she was sent to Northern Mexico due to the outbreak of fighting with rebels in Northern Mexico. She was renamed the Colima.

Otesk War
At the start of the Otesk War, she was sent to Mexico City too patrol it's waters during the fighting in the West. The Colima soon saw action against the Spanish navy in the Battle of Mexico City. She saw service until 1949 when she was sunk by hitting an unexploded mine set by the Mexican over 10 years ago.

Sinking
On the morning of June 23, 1949, the Colima, hit an unexploded mine set back in 1937 to sink the Spanish ships. She took 4 hours to sink after 2 hours of work to save her. She sunk in a shallow harbor of an abandoned Spanish fort were they were able to commandeer an old submarine too get help and a full Mexican flotilla came to pick them up.
