The F-37CX Blackwing R.2 is the updated version of the B model Blackwing adapted to the requirements of the U.S. Navy NGAD program.

FEATURES

• Superior maneuverability increases effectiveness in the close air support role and air superiority role as a result of pitch-axis thrust vectoring, and the Control Augmentation System (differential flaps, slats) and ruddervators.

• AIM-22 Aspect Short-Range-Air-to-Air-Missile provides capability for quick, precise, high-off boresight target acquisition and fire.

• AIM-128MR Flare Bravo Hypersonic-Multirole-Missile provides a long-range weapons engagement zone and allows for air to air and air to surface defense capability without sacrificing hard points for one or the other.

• DwiAngkasaAeronautics SINTREX Electro-Optical Targeting Pod along with the AIM-128MR Flare Bravo allows for high-precision air strike capability, and infrared search and track capability for aerial targets.

• Wings fold for simplified storage onboard aircraft carriers.
