Her Magesty’s Royal Canadian Ship (HMCS) Risinghope was the first of six Risinghope class hospital ships laid down during the 2020 COVID-19 epidemic to give accessible cities an extra hospital for infected patients and to serve as a humanitarian aid ship after the epidemic subsides. In WW3 they would be put to use among the Royal Canadian Navy’s fleets and convoys as well as serving as a sort of MASH (Mobile Army Surgical Hospital) for the duration of the war.
