Backstory:

The RSR-041 was a pre-production prototype of Mondstadt's Advanced Fighter Program, designed with maneuverability and dogfighting prowess as the main goal of the aircraft.

Alas, the entire program was cancelled due to the Dandelion wine shortage some time before the Traveller arrived and the prototype was kept in a Freedom Industries Storage Hangar.

Some time after the aircraft was placed in storage, Freedom Industries fell behind on their contributions to the Church of Favonius and decided to simply donate the prototype instead of scrapping it.

The aircraft caught Sister Rosaria's eye, who seemed to be more concerned with hunting treasure hoarders than serving the church. The higher ups of the church initially protested bringing the prototype to flyable condition, but Rosaria convinced the Church that the defensive force needs to field better fighters in the event that the Knights of Favonius are spread too thin.

With the Church's blessing and Financial assistance, the prototype was restored to flying condition. The aircraft is primarily used to patrol trade routes and keep them free of Treasure Hoarders or Hilichurl groups, but would occasionally patrol the area of Dragonspine.

Given the codename "Rosethorn", the RSR-041 A is a formidable foe, capable of carrying 6 missiles internally.

Many would say that the Church of Favonius doesn't need such a fighter, but with Rosaria keeping Treasure Hoarders in check behind the scenes, the Citizens of Mondstadt are kept safe through her actions.
