Some Personal Words
My first plane.
Still quite new to building in SP so I'm using some of other users' parts for now. Overall, I still learnt a lot building this plane. I probably will make custom aircraft soon (I have a few ideas) and reduce my dependence on imported items.
(upcoming livery addons to aircraft will still use others' aircraft and maybe logos btw)

Presenting the latest variant of the highly-successful and famous Cessna 172, the all-new Cessna 172X!
Based off the 1998 Cessna 172S, in collaboration with the highly-acclaimed Republic Of Cursed Planes Engineering Co. (RCPEngineering), the 172X has been updated for the 21st century with several exciting features that will make it outsell any general aviation aircraft, including all previous Cessna 172s.
New Features
Firstly, the 172X's Lycoming IO-360-L2A piston prop engine has been replaced with the General Electric GE9X. It is the world's largest jet engine, with its diameter being greater than that of a Boeing 737's fuselage! On July 12, 2019, the GE9X also set the Guinness World Record for the most powerful engine at 134,300 pounds of thrust. This surpasses the previous record holder, the GE90, by 19,300 pounds of thrust. Besides thrust output, the GE9X beats the GE90 in fuel efficiency by 10%.
At first, the GE9X was only intended to be used for Boeing's new 777X series, but we specially partnered with GE to have them place it on our new plane! Thanks to us, you can finally enjoy the pleasure of having a more powerful plane that turns heads wherever you go, and still fly it with a single-engine flight certificate!
To handle the immense weight of this new engine, we also had to radically redesign the landing gear. The aircraft now utilises 2 sets of 4-wheeled gear as the main landing gear. Oh, and did we mention that all landing gears are now retractable? This has not been seen before on a Cessna 172 (except the 172RG Cutlass)!
Finally, for [slightly less worse] stability, we have made changes to the wings and stabilisers as follows:
- Wings are now placed on the ENGINE instead of on the FUSELAGE because 80% of the plane is practically the engine now
- Much larger horizontal stabilisers!
- Humongous tail (gives some MiG-15 vibes!)
Orders
In the last 1 month alone, 1069 units have been ordered by aspiring young and old aviators, with 420 being built/delivered so far.
Customers' Testimonials
"This truly is the greatest plane I've ever flown in my entire life! It looks cool, flies really fast and high and controls are pretty decent. Definitely recommending this to my aviator friends. "
~ Sesley Chullenberger, retired pilot"Amazing aircraft! Going to buy a few thousand of them and fit them with Tesla electric motors, maybe even add some SpaceX Merlin engines for even more thrust output. You know what, I should buy some of your shares instead. No, even better, the rights to producing your aircraft. Thanks!"
~Elon Musk, multibillionaire and CEO of Tesla, SpaceX and several other companies
Some Very Minor Flaws
Due to most of the plane being a giant engine where the blades have to spin clockwise, the plane will roll towards the left when in flight. This is only a small issue, just fix it by rolling in the other direction!
The plane starts to nosedive at speeds below around 230kph (143mph), so keep it above that speed!
For the around 30 test flight landings this aircraft made, half of them caused the plane to blow up with such a force that the pilot's seat/camera often hit Mach 2 at really high altitudes (you get a really nice view!), while the remaining half caused the plane to stop upside down (well, you don't need to climb down the engine to get off the plane anymore!). At least, 1 landing was successful!
Doors don't open for some reason. Just get out using the front window!
Flight Manual
W to pitch up (because the flaps are essentially just giant elevators [i will make actual flaps on future aircraft])
S to pitch down
Rest of the keys work normally
AG1 for the little wing lights
We hope that after reading this, you have a newfound increased appreciation for the Cessna 172X and decide to buy a unit (or 500)!

@RepublicOfCursedPlanes
Now make a 777 powered with 2 Cessna 172 cockpit propellers
Yup, this is cursed alright
@LoneSpaceGaming great idea
Seems really practical and efficient, who wouldn’t want to get sucked into this thing?
(I also just had the most genuinely genus idea: A FRICKIN THERMO NUCLEAR HIGH BYPASS RAMJET! YEAH BABY!!!)
@Atrocitum we both make beautiful cursed planes I guess
just stumbled upon this monstrosity and I... love it
now give it a Trent 1000
WHY
my nightmares:
Wtf is this? It’s so cursed. I love it!
