Republic P-47D-30 Thunderbolt, United States Air Force
The Jug
A large and powerful fighter/fighter-bomber built by Republic Aviation for the United States Air Force and the allied forces in World War 2.
Well built and heavily armed, the P-47 had made a name for itself in the skies of the Second World War for it's blistering firepower in the form of eight AN/M2 .50 caliber machine guns, and it's proven durability; having survived flak fire and returning it's pilots to base safely.
It's sturdy frame also allowed it to carry an assortment of ground attack weapons such as rockets and bombs, making it quite effective despite it's size and weight compared to other contemporaries of the time.
