Obsurv
A modern, small, single seat observation aircraft.
Conceptually modular, with a spacious glazed cockpit and equipped with a camera pod below, (I called it “FLIR” even though the camera inside is normal) the mission might be forest fire lookout, survey work, traffic monitoring, power-line monitoring, wildlife monitoring etc.
AG1 operates ground lights
AG2 operates running lights
AG3 operates landing lights
VTOL down and YAW operates the camera pod once airborne. Small joystick on right is usable.
YAW operates taxi steering; small joystick on right is usable: use low THROTTLE
No rudder in flight, so no rudder pedals.
Landing approach best at 20% to 30% THROTTLE. No flaps, but there is enough pitch authority to pull into a landing flare. BRAKE gently during landing roll.
Mainly an exercise in fuselage slicing, and building with small parts/rotators (fiddly!) and I took some liberties with the scaling around the pilot’s seat.
I kept the outside colour scheme mostly metallic to go with the sharp corners.
