History
Development of the Vk1602 began as a 16t class light tank of the Panzerkampfwagen II series. Vk1602 differs from the conventional Panzerkampfwagen II in that it has a sloping design that is effective for the Panzer V Panther's bullet evasion. It has a body, and the suspension has been changed from a leaf spring system to a double torsion bar system. Armed with a 5cm KwK39/1 tank gun as the main gun and a 7.92mm MG42 machine gun as the coaxial machine gun. Although development of the VK1602 was ultimately discontinued, the turret was used for the Sd Kfz 234 armored reconnaissance vehicle.
