Desert Crawler V2
My complete, fully functional model of the Desert Crawler. Track is 38', wheelbase is 37.3'. Has two car engines at 600 HP each, each one powering two wheels, which makes its top speed 79 +/- 1 MPH on a flat runway. She will be rough to get up pretty steep hills, but performs very well in sand dunes and semi-mountainous areas. Compared to the first Desert Crawler, which was made in two days, has FULLY independent suspension in a sport setup. The shock assembly consists of eight total shock gizmos, four on top and two on bottom. For the rear suspension each shock is at 210% for dampening and shock absorption, while the front have just over 110% for both settings. The first design also had a flaw that made the rear suspension be rigid. This was solved by removing the two suspension link fuselage blocks. the front suspension assembly also had a link, however it was using one fuselage block which still allowed for the suspension to work ,but they were not fully independent. The CoM was also asjusted to be dead center of the model, which helps with small jumps on say, the sand dunes near the three pyramids. Front lights and a light bar were also added. This is the final, updated rendititon of the Desert Crawler. Enjoy!
