XB-114 VTOL WIP
Was messing around and ended up with a pretty cool micro bomber.
Comes with custom 3 pylon AG missile rack (6 infernos total) and custom 25 count rocket pods, these work great for taking out those pesky missile launchers on the snow island. I just Vtol over to them dropping flares and then let fly until all that's left is rubble. Has 1 vulcan gun and 4 shot guns for a little help knocking down more maneuverable planes. I tried to balance the weapons to be fair. Hope you like it!
AG1: enable/disable throttle speed
AG2:enable/disable prop pitch
AG3: activate 2nd set of counter measures
AG4: 3rd set counter measures
AG6: Jettesen all weapons
AG8: enable/disable gyro and vtol.
How to fly: You'll start off with her half way transformed, VTOL down to put the rotor into hover mode. Toggle (AG1) prop speed and set to +80loaded +55Empty (when landing a lower speed setting gives you more precise control). After throttling to the speed you'd like hit AG1 again. Zero throttle and hit AG2 (prop pitch) this will act as your primary throttle in hover mode, now throttle up for lift off, note that 100% throttle=30%prop pitch, and that doesn't necessarily give max vertical thrust 30-50% is your sweet spot mostly. After getting above 1000ft in one instance cut throttle to zero and THEN VTOL all the way up. The Rotor will slide back to the rear and then pivot out for normal flight. You don't want prop pitch when the engine is moving it'll spin you out. Also it should be noted that this is a VTOL only, you can't take off and land normal, well I guess you could glide it in, but not take off. So, now your cresting and about to stall, slowly add throttle till 100% pitch once you get above 200mph you should have enough live to fly normal, trim out the elevator to about 50%loaded. At this point you may want to hit AG8, which will disable Vtol transformation and shut off the gyroscope. Both of which can interfere with normal flight. You can hit AG1&2 if you prefer controlling throttle instead of prop pitch, it'll allow you to save fuel too, just remember to switch it back when your ready to Vtol again. Oh and when you forget that you turned off AG8 and move the Vtol down, you have to put it back to the top before hitting it, if the engine tries to pivot and retract at the same time it tends to break.
