This is a prototype advancement of the Super Hornet to enhance its capabilities to give it an edge over the competition.

Introducing my own interpretation the F/A-18XT Advanced Super Hornet prototype...

This aircraft was also one of my projects to be part of my Super Hornet Collection. The Super Hornet slowly became a favorite when I saw that it has a lot of potential and has matured a lot during its development.

Before I worked on the F/A-18XT, I created and experimented my own "Enclosed Weapons Systems" or "Weapons Deployment Pods", which took a lot of trials and errors. The model here has three pods containing air-to-air and air-to-ground weaponry. What's inside them you might ask. Well, they have:

Centerline Station Pod = 2x AIM-120D AMRAAMs and 4x GBU-39 Small Diameter Bombs
Starboard Station Pod = 2x AIM-120D AMRAAMs and 4x GBU-53 StormBreakers
Port Station Pod = 1x AGM-154 Joint Standoff Weapon

Of course, the usual wingtip loadout is two Fox 2-type missiles (either AIM-9 Sidewinders or ASRAAMs) and nothing else.

Also, I removed the outboard pylons to reduce drag and the number of parts and added Conformal Fuel Tanks (CFTs) on the fuselage to give it extra fuel and the cockpit has a new touchscreen feature with interactable buttons and switches (not functioning, BTW) based on some of the photos I've seen about the aircraft. From this model formed the basis of the cockpit and CFTs installed on the Block III Super Hornet that I made a few days back.

The Same Main Controls and Activation Groups as most of my Super Hornets:
A & D = Ailerons
W & S = Elevators
Q & E = Rudder
AG1 = Arrestor Hook
AG2 = Folding Wings
AG3 = Flaps Down
AG4 = Air Brake
AG5 = Drop Those Tax Payer Funded Weapons Systems
AG6 = Deploy Gunsight
AG7 = Retract The Catapult Launch Bar
AG8 = Master Arm and Activate AOA Limiter
VTOL Down = Locks the control surfaces into position
Trim = For Trim Controls
Landing Gear = Gears and Cockpit Raiser
Brake = Aerodynamic Deflection Rudders

Credit goes to TDevil36 for the for the weapons inside the pods and EngineerOtaku for the F/A-18 Hornet as the base for the Super Hornet...

I have a huge collection of Super Hornets in my inventory...
