The cannondriveactually just a reverse cannon with the firing delay set to 0.1 and full recoil force but no barrel recoil. at high caliber they produce a lot of backwards or, in this case forewards thrust. with xml you can inrease effectiveness by decreasing firing delay or increasing the recoil force
