The Orca
The Orca was the most extreme example of an Eastern Seaboard aerial cruiser. Unusually fast for it's size, it is capable of maintaining patrol for very long periods of time. A sturdy aircraft with engines protected inside of an armored citadel, they are often outfitted with long-range rockets capable of shattering formations of aircraft (not actually seen in-game due to XML editing limitations) and 3 25 mm cannons. Overall, this aircraft is less common than The Eyesore, albeit still frequent enough, particularly in more inland regions where vast tracts of thinly-populated land have to be patrolled.
The origin of The Orca lay in the Megalopolis' rivalry with the Twin Cities, which possessed a greater fleet of giant aircraft. This was hoped to be countered through the creation of an equally large "flying battleship" capable of intercepting bombers coming towards the Megalopolis itself long before they can reach the city itself. As usual, the design spread and copycats followed.
