Sea Plane " J-DUCK"

301k WinsWings  one year ago
Auto Credit Based on Jundroo's Sea Plane

Hello Pilots,

Now, Win's Wings aviation company has retrofitted the Jundroo's famous "C-Duck" seaplane with two small but powerful GE HF120 turbofan jet engines and removed its old underpowered pusher propeller piston engine. The two engines are raised above the wings (over wing podded engine configuration) similar to Honda Jets, to avoid contact with the splashing water while takeoff and landing in water. The top speed is around 300 mph, and it can maneuver better. It also has a beautiful sunroof for the passengers for a better view.

Do not open the landing-gear doors for water operations.

Enjoy.

@Kleesmilie I have built a handful of seaplanes from scratch. And I do focused on balancing the buoyancy. But this one is so crazy. It doesn’t even fly straight in the beginning. so I have to give Right engine 0.05 more power than left. Its hard to follow someone’s build. Thanks for your advice though

@WinsWings When adding more buoyancy, make sure that it is balanced/distributed more outboard, as just adding buoyancy in the center makes it roll over (it doesn’t seem to want to take off or fly in that configuration, for some reason).

@ToeTips it could be a meme build. Tutorial plane with VR or build it as a regular plane.

You also jetified the mustang, will you do this for all the stock prop planes?

@MAPA @Zaineman thanks. Original build came with some hard to fix issues. It doesn’t float although i add more buoyancy. Also, I have to add more power to the right engine in orders to fly straight.
