A competitor to the Star Agressor Fighter, the Cross Gun was entered for the same requirement for the Star Fleet and as such used the same main engines. The Cross Gun proved to be slower and heavier than the Star Agressor, but was more agile in the right environment and had a far better view out of the cockpit. In addition, the ship boasted far better vertical anti grav thrusters allowing twice the missile load to be carried. For this reason, although the Star Agressor was chosen as the main fighter, mumbers of the Cross Gun were ordered for a slightly heavier interceptor role and so, it sees some use in the Earth Starfleet.
