VR Cockpits and Displays.
Here is my collection of Multi-Function Displays and cockpits that I have built for VR use so far. I thought I should share to help anyone who has a hard time building a VR friendly cockpit, needs inspiration, or needs a working Funky Trees cockpit.
The triangular cockpit in the center is the key for working HUDS and the majority of funky trees displays. Save it as a new aircraft and use it as you would the normal cockpit piece.
If you have an aircraft that you would like to convert, disconnect your old cockpit and save your aircraft as a sub assembly. Next, open up your new FT cockpit, and grab your aircraft that you saved as a sub assembly. Install the FT cockpit to your plane and you now have a plane that will have working FT displays.
The MFD buttons are programmed for a one time press, which means that when it is pressed, it isn't constantly lit up. Which is great for realism.
The FT code is: interactionType : Once
The camera with the really large hud is something I have been experimenting with in VR. The reason it is so big and far from the camera is for better focus while playing VR. When the hud is close to your eyes, it makes it hard to focus on targets or if you focus on a target, the hud is out of focus.
I scaled some other free parts so you don't have to.
Enjoy and Build On,
