V-22 Osprey v3.0
Simple V-22 Osprey made from just a few parts in the normal editor. It has the same dimensions as the actual Osprey and flight model wise it seems to be quite accurate too.

Like any other VTOL aircraft, VTOL flying in this plane takes some getting used to. But controlling this Osprey really isn't too hard once you get the hang of it. I've tried to land on the back of the USS Beast Destroyers 3 times now and succeeded every time without any problems. Just be careful and a bit gentle and you should be good to land anywhere, anytime.
Use action group 1 to activate the VTOL Gyro and Prop angle rotators.
Afterwards, use Trim to change the prop angle. Forward trim to pitch the props down and backwards trim to go back to VTOL.
You need about 63% to hover and only 65 to 70% to do a VTOL take-off. The Osprey can VTOL descend on 50% throttle, below that it might get a bit unstable.
Version 3.0 has a few new things added:
- Early Warning System sensors (two in the front, two in the back)
- Camera Dome
- Radar Dome in the nose
Version 2.0 has a few new things added, like:
- Lighting
- An extendable re-fuel arm (Activation group 2)
- Doors
- New, more accurate looking cockpit windows
- Flares
- Better looking engines
- A few other bits and bobs for extra detail.
To summarize:
- Activate 1: VTOL control
- Activate 2: Re-fuel arm
- Activate 6: Formation lights
- Activate 7: Landing lights
- Activate 8: All other lights.
Oh, and just be aware that Autopilot isn't that great on this plane. It takes a while before the craft will hold altitude. Before that it'll descend quite a bit.
