encargoda cargo-5 "BIG PIG"
this is the encargoda cargo 5 for the cargo challenge
history
The encargoda cargo 5 was the work horse for the checkered republics military from the mid 1970s up to the present. The cargo capacity was quite good for the republics purposes and for their often small, tight remote runways. This often carried ammunition, weapons, and other supplies to small runways to the troops on the ground. What's shown is the very first model, but other versions were also made, like cargo-5-B, C, And cargo-5D "ball buster" variants. The cargo 5D was the gunship version which came with two, mendak a120 auto-cannons, and 2 endo 134 Gatling guns. It was a very powerful gunship, and was given the nickname "ball buster" by the troops it saved in battle.

Builders note: needs quite a bit of trim, and if you need to make a fast corner use the cargo door, it will help the pitch authority tremendously, just don't use alot, maybe just barely off of its neutral position

yeah i made a tail opening cargo bay like what kernels did once @FeiWu
@PapaKernels ok but it is still possible in some cases to preserve realism while keeping the fun factor xD
@FeiWu well I didn't know any of these things. Like I said before I dont know as much as you do, so I just make what I think looks good and realistic. I'm not as informed on this as you so I had no idea the indescepencies with the design. I figured the rear door would have been un realistic but it is not something that has been done before. I realize this is for constructive criticism but again this is stuff I'm not as informed about as you may be. I like to make things that looks cool, and can be fun to fly, sometimes realism is sacrificed for this fun factor. It's just my style.
@KnightOfRen sorry I just accidentally clicked "reply" xD
@FeiWu
Why the hell was I tagged?
@PapaKernels
Some obvious flaws with the design:
I mean, I hope this criticism is constructive.
1. Are you sure you want to lift all those fragile hydraulics and avionics and control surfaces up there in the tail? Tail cargo doors are usually just a ramp.
2. What can you fit in a cabin with a 4m height? I mean, this is a quad jet. The engines are overkill too.
3. Why do you have the horizontal stabs halfway up the vertical stab? I mean, not everything in aviation is about looking cool and unique. The B-1 has this weird configuration for a reason.
4. I appreciate the cockpit skylight, but because of the size of the plane as previously mentioned, this vision range from the cockpit would be worthy of breaking every single one of the loosest regulations in existence. I'm sorry, but ILS and automated landings is obviously not available for the small airfields this plane is supposed to fly to, and automated takeoffs are illegal in all circumstances.
5. The excessively low wing sweep=bad
6. Engines sooooooo close to each other=bad
7. Engine intakes placed under wing=bad
8. Wing loading=bad
(aim for 40-70lb/ft^2 next time)
9. too low wing aspect ratio=bad
I mean, is this a glider?
I think you should learn from the mistakes and be willing to accept constructive criticism.
@ACEPILOT109 I fixed the issue, then I didn't. I'll make a private and see if you can fix it. Sometimes it blows up and sometimes it doesn't
@PapaKernels
not sure what would cause that, but id take a look
@ACEPILOT109 so I'm making a bomber for a challenge and I'm trying to get the bomb release mechanism to work and I got it to work but when the Bombs hit the ground it doesn't explode. I'm using detatchers and I had the air to ground menu open. Do you know what I did wrong or help me in any way?
Mhm yes
My interiors take like 20 years lol@PapaKernels
@ACEPILOT109 ah. Yea interiors seem to take a while, but I make mine basic so it doesn't take as long. Your probably making it super detailed so it would take awhile. I think I might just make like the cabin and ask other people to finish the frame, I think I could get some cool stuff out of that
@PapaKernels
I have not released the DeLorean, I'm still working on the interior
@ACEPILOT109 but it looks so bad at the front, but honestly that's probably the hardest part for the striping. Did you release your delorean yet, or are you still tweaking it?
It looks alright! @PapaKernels
@XP sorta
@XP yea but it looks cool.
Nice build! It has dihedral and it has covered wings. However, i don’t think the default LG fits here, too small and it’ll get crushed by the weight.
@ACEPILOT109 yea it's a bit of a chonk but it flies realistic, so it flies like a whale, but you know with wings. I tried making some striping but it just looks garbage.
@KnightOfRen damn it. I seriously completely forgot about that. Sorry I'll see if i can scrap together another, goes to calculator real quick, 59 PARTS!!!!! Welp I'm disqualified I dont think I can scrape another 59 parts out of this. I tried.
@PapaKernels
MIN parts is 130
@KnightOfRen god damn it i forgot about that. What's max parts again?
Sorry, this does not follow minimum part
wow thicc boi!
@Knightofren this is my entry hope it does well, (I doubt it will, the interior is pretty bad)
