ACV-XM1-RG Jackhammer ''Flashbang''
An ACV-M1 Jackhammer infantry fighting vehicle fitted with a powerful 64 Megajoule railgun as it's primary weapon. The vehicle itself is just a testing platform for the main gun, but there have been rumors that future Jackhammers and Main Battle Tanks will be fielded armed with the advanced weapon once development and testing reaches a final conclusion. BoomTek and FlightArms have yet to confirm this.
It's railgun can lob shells with a staggering muzzle velocity of 1250 meters per second, allowing it to cover massive distances to hit a target at much longer range. The Jackhammer Flashbang also comes equipped with a small caliber rotary gun remote weapons system that can be used against surface targets, and with limited effectiveness against aerial threats for self-defense
ARMAMENTS AND EQUIPMENT
Main gun:
Nirai Division 64 Megajoule Railcannon
Secondary Armament:
1x 5.56 M214 Microgun RWS
Armor:
Composite steel and ceramic plates with spacing
INSTRUCTIONS
Pitch = Drive forwards and backwards
Roll = Turn left or right
V key = Fire countermeasures
AG1 to power Railgun
AG2 to activate M214 Microgun RWS
Turret control is MOUSE/CAMERA aimed. Wherever you look,
the gun will turn and point there. No need for VTOL
or Trim controls, for your convenience
Railgun shells have a proxdet fuse. Meaning you dont
have to directly hit targets in order to destroy it. But the
success of shooting one down still relies on your ability
to aim and fire in lead.
The RWS is auto-aimed. However, the lead indicator of the
railgun will drastically be lowered as the main weapon and the
microgun have very different muzzle velocities. If you want higher
accuracy on target with the main gun, turn the RWS off.
Have fun
