This 8 engine amphibious airplane was built in 1947 to rival Howard Hughes' H-4 Hercules. Hughes' "Spruce Goose" flew only one mile 90 feet off the ground while the M-4 flew multiple long range journeys. She has the ability to land both on sea and on an airstrip, making her very useful. Her nickname was the "Pleasant Pheasant," a name which her inventor, Tony Mox despised. She had a top speed of 240 miles per hour and a takeoff speed of 120 miles per hour, letting her takeoff on the shortest of runways. Her width is 215' her length is 164' and she stands 30' high, making her a giant. Due to all these factors, the Heracles beat the Hercules in every way but size.
By far my biggest project (in size.) I hope you enjoy!
