AAI mk. 9
The year is 1955. The Arstotskan war of independence has been over for 10 years, and a steady peace with Kolechia seems to be holding, but The KAF has obtained jet engines from the United Federation, and Arstotska will either catch up, or fight with obsolete aircraft if war arises again. The AAI mk. 8 was an unsuccessful first shot at a jet fighter in 1950, When engineers stuck a J15 turbojet under the an AAI mk. 7. It was even slower than the AAI mk. 2, and was ineffcient at everything. AAI engineers then tried using a High-performance J50 turbojet lent from Obristan, and this time the plane reached speeds of 750mph. The plane was also given the new air-to-air missles, and soon the Arstotskan navy was interested. The aircraft was introduced in Late 1955, and soon all of Kolechia's fighters were obsolete to the new aircraft, The KAF-2 and KAF-3 were outmanuvered, outgunned, and were outrun by the new Arstotskan plane.
