[CLOSED] Weapon Design Challenge

In this challenge, you will be tasked to build a weapon of your own design.

Just a brief introduction in case you haven't seen me in this site...

My account is mainly composed of a collection of weapons and gizmos sub-assemblies. I started this challenge to see how other users work with weapons. So there you go.

FIRST Place:

15 upvotes = 225 points

SECOND Place:

10 upvotes = 150 points

THIRD Place:

5 upvotes = 75 points

ALL Entries:

1 upvote = 15 points

RULES:

  1. It must be a successor of this post
  2. Weapons must be intended to be used as a sub-assembly. (specify main attachment point)
  3. Weapons must be in a 1:1 scale (must be mountable on a relatively scaled aircraft or vehicle)
  4. Part count must not exceed to 100 parts
  5. You may use all types of weapon (bombs, guns, missiles, torpedoes, rockets, countermeasaures)
  6. No external mods which requires to download the mod.
  7. XML modding is allowed. (I will be considerate to IOS users though it is suggested to search or request for modded parts on the site)
  8. Replicas are not encouraged though it is allowed (make something original)
  9. You can enter as many weapons as you can.
  10. Weapons are not necessarily based on damage. (Some may be designed for defensive purposes)

Failure to comply with the rules will get a 5% deduction

CRITERIA:

Functionality 40%
Weapons must work in its intended function.

Design 30%
Be smart in the use of parts to maximize design and minimize part counts.

Originality 20%
As I said replicas are not encouraged though it is allowed. Be creative, generally I would like to see something original.

Description 10%
I will be mainly checking the following:

Instructions: steps in how to use it (be detailed in providing instructions)

Features: What does the weapon do (provide in-game pictures if possible)

Story: A background of the weapon (Optional)

For a total of 100%

INSTRUCTIONS:

(Here are some instructions once you've downloaded this post)

  1. To start building drag and remove the large blue block. There you will be left with a single cockpit.
  2. Once you finished building, state the main attachment point so I can easily save it as a sub assembly. (Tip: you may want to detach the weapon to the cockpit so it can be easily selected)
  3. Have fun in building :)!

    @EliteArsenals24 same for me, as I have several weapons in mind but only have the basics done for each of them, and still have to put a case on each one, as they look hideous in their current state.

    The challenge wasn't a total waste for me, as it motivated me to complete my radical UCAV concept instead of cancelling the project altogether. I'm about to release a major teaser of the new system.

    Ok I've decided to opt-out of the challenge. The weapon system I'm creating will be freaking insane and truly unique once fully finished and any bugs are fully fleshed out. I'd rather finish it as a top-quality complete build than to rush it just to make a challenge deadline. So yea, I'm out of the challenge I guess.

    I'm thinking of making a large-caliber aircraft cannon. Something like 100mm. Unfortunately I run iOS so having it shoot bombs won't work. Does launching flares at a very high force count?

    @CK10 that is actually a nice idea. The cloaking device is kind of a gizmo rather than a weapon.

    @EliteArsenals24 I was thinking of doing a cloaking device, but I already have a missile box, all I would have to do would be to put it in a launcher or something and then I would just have to find the XML file so I could copy the missile about 20 times. (the missile is on a detacher so they would all launch at the same time when I copy it)
