S-2000 Kermit and Miss Piggy SSTE
Probably the final build in my vintage series, this is a remake of my old favourite, the rocket powered glider. This SSTE (Several Stages To Entropy) consists of two parts: Kermit (the glider) riding on top of Miss Piggy (the Skylon-inspired booster). Preferred flight profile: Miss Piggy has twin jet packs for takeoff or transport. Since her "scramjets" need (imaginary) forced air intake, take off with them; they have their own fuel. When in the air and above 200kts, drop the packs with 1. That also starts the main engines. Take her up at about 45* until you reach about 120000ft, then separate the glider with 2. If you want, Kermit has air brakes on brake (duh) so power down to 0%. If you're lucky, you'll be able to land on the other island. PIGS IN SPAAAAAAAACE!
