EW-20A Splinter
Notes: 15% throttle is sufficient for cruise and basic maneuvers.
Controls are identical to the F-20D II.
The EW-20A is a modified version of the F-20D II. Instead of the air superiority role, the Splinter was equipped with a more compact version of the AN-ALY 1 passive electronically scanned array long range radar which is also used on the Boeing E-3A Sentry to serve as an Airborne Early Warning And Control System. Understanding the importance of self-defence in warzones, the Splinter retained its Air-to-Air capability while suffering only a minor decrease in maneuverability. The Splinter is manned by the pilot and the radar intercept officer (RIO). The aircraft is able to accurately direct allied forces towards enemy aircraft while still being able to maintain situational awareness in combat.
