Autogyro (simple)
First, what is an autogyro? to be simple, An autogyro (or a gyroplane) is a variant of an aircraft that uses an unpowered rotor to produce lift. The rotors would rotate because of autorotation, the same reason why helicopters were able to land safely incase of engine failure. as the propeller pushes (or pulls, in this case cause its a tractor configuration) the aircraft's rotor would pass through the air, causing it to spin like when your run with a pinwheel in hand, and as the rotors gain enough speed, the autogyro can change the rotor's collective pitch, causing the rotors to have a high angle of attack, thus generating lift.
CONTROLS
VTOL - Collective pitch
Throttle - Prop throttle
Trim - Trim (duh)
Aircraft uses the rotors to roll and pitch, but the pitch is also governed by elevators
Recommended for takeoff is ? to ½ of VTOL. pull out to takeoff (Wait for the rotor to gain enough RPM before doing anything to the collective pitch!!!)
