X-Drone-V2 – Now with a jet engine for more speed.
I built this drone to test out different ideas in Funky-Trees.
All flight control inputs are run through some programming, before they are applied to the rotators and propellers.
This enables the drone to keep its orientation and heading without further input or correction. It has an auto level mode which enables it to keep the same distance to the ground.
It also has an anti slip mode, which makes steering and flying in a straight line very simple.
The drone can walk on the ground and it can operate under water.
How to fly:
Mode: Top Right Letter:
AG1: Flying Mode F
AG2: Auto Level A
AG3: Zero Orientation Z
AG4: Anti Slip S
AG5: Walk W
Landing Gear: Boost B
Display:
BAT: Battery charge
HDG: Heading
SET: Set heading
FUL: Fuel for the booster (jet)
VTL: Set propeller pitch.
ALV: Set height above ground.
PTC: Pitch of the drone.
ALT: Altitude.
AGL: Altitude above ground.
SPD: Ground speed.
Flying:
Throttle to take off and control height.
Normal flight controls.
When Anti Slip is on, steer with YAW.
When Auto Level is on, control height with VTOL.
Walking:
Throttle-Brake: Go forwards and backwards.
Roll: Go sideways
Yaw: Turn
Yaw sets the direction of the Drone.
Flight specifications:

Travelling speed: 100 km/h
Max speed: 130 km/h
Max flight level: 4000 m.
Jet engine on:
Speed: abt. 300 km/h
Max flight level: abt. 12000 m or more
I am not sure how this will behave on slow hardware or mobile devices!
