Grumman F-14D Tomcat
The Grumman F-14 Tomcat is an American carrier-capable supersonic, twin-engine, two-seat, twin-tail, variable-sweep wing fighter aircraft. The Tomcat was developed for the United States Navy's Naval Fighter Experimental (VFX) program after the collapse of the General Dynamics-Grumman F-111B project. A large and well-equipped fighter, the F-14 was the first of the American Teen Series fighters, which were designed incorporating air combat experience against MiG fighters during the Vietnam War.
this plane I created it because there was activity in the discussion group I was in. Well done everyone, so let's enjoy it. Even if there are some small problems, it's okay!
AG1 : Start the engine.
AG4 : Open the nose of the plane.
AG5 : Disarming
AG6 : Turn on the light outside.
AG7 : Activate grappling hook.
AG8 : Open Canopy
VTOL = fold your wings and spread your wings
Trim = Flaps
brake to operate the air brake

great Work, awesome build! 👍
@FujiwaraAutoShop I’ve seen another A-model Cat with the vanes. Can’t remember which designer though.
@CapnCrunk i haven't seen a single tomcat here include the fins, which is why i said that.
@FujiwaraAutoShop
Wing glove vanes…they would extend automatically at certain flight regimes for stability. But like ZerowithslashedO mentioned, they were never on D-model Cats. They were only on As., and deleted/disabled, and weren’t present at all on the D.
It’s good but you should make it more realistic with the speed it’s to fast I take off at 15% throttle
F-14D with the front fin thingy
interesting.
(the F-14D doesn't have those, the late A onwards removed that due to excess weight)
Good 10/10
At least someone got those front fins finally... But everything else is... uh.. yeah.
this is the A variant, look at the engines and the glove vanes. its the A.
@JADE117 for one year you’re building some cool looking stuff! Can’t wait to see what you can build the more experienced you get
@Mustang51 thank you for the advice I only have more than 1 year of experience in this game. Many things may not be perfect yet. But I will develop my skills for better works. thanks again
This boy has all the drag but also all the acceleration. Doesn’t even need a cat shot to get off the carrier! This is because when you made the plane, I’m assuming with regular thrust for a real F-14, it wasn’t capable of reaching a high speed so you brute forced it by giving it insanely powerful engines that gave it a TWR of 20+. My recommendation would be to reduce the engine power to what the F-14 really has (both for dry and wet thrust) and the dramatically remove drag points. Try to do this evenly across the airframe until it has sub 1000 drag points. Now the issue is that the plane just never stops and no matter how many Gs you pull, it doesn’t slow down. The way to fix this is by adding air breaks internally that activate according to the AoA of the aircraft. This can get a little tricky so you can also make them activate according to the verticals G force the aircraft is experiencing. This will give you an aircraft with realistic acceleration, speed, and manoeuvrability. Hope this helps and the plane does look good!
F-14D doesn't have glove vanes
@BogdanX thank you for the advice I will take it to improve in the future.
