MYSCERS-Series O-4 “Ishtar” Fighter
The acquisition of MYSCERS by Valansanoid Aerospace Inc. was caused by the failure of every single department, including the EVD, to create a competent transonic-supersonic combination of a fighter plane and a bomber plane. Though it’s not super maneuverable, it can not only prevent a missile collision, it can out-run them. The cross-section is badass-looking, too, and is based off an early sketch of the OEV cross-section (which was cancelled due to production difficulties encountered before the acquisition of MYSCERS)
Unfortunately, the high-speed high-accuracy lateral torpedo chain that allows anti-structure capability is so large that all attempts by the EVD - and these are the folks who specialize in that stuff - have failed. Thus, we’ve started work on a variant of the Oxander-Marzhan that can catch the O-4 at its minimum safe gliding velocity. I don’t believe we’ve ever mentioned our failure to dock planes in the air, but the problems will be similar.
