after mutiple conflicts it has proven the first BVM was an failure to deflect RPGs and HEAT rounds from the top and to its side armor so the 1.5 variant was made and soon BVM 2 would be made to deflect ATGMs and such.
However this variant was much advanced than the BVM2 for it's armor so this thing wasn't out of service and was kept produced till the new countermeasures of the BVM 2 was fitted to the 1.5 Variant
