Lore:
Considered the apex of the G-2, the G-2F brought much needed improvements over the G-2E. The variant was originally created to replace its Engines with a newly created smaller variant, but the program suffered many delays as the government considered other ways to improve the plane.
The G-2E was a welcome performance upgrade over the G-2D, but it's manueveribility is still outclassed by other fighter jets at the time. To fix this, The government improved the Canard wings installed on the G-2E. The result is surprisingly much better, with tests showing the G-2F out-turning other jets.
To finish up the program, the plane was to have its fuel tanks on the outer wing removed, to help it shed some weight. It also got installed with stronger gears, able to withstand hard landings, especially useful in Carrier Landings.
The Airforce was the first to have the G-2F, and it will be another Air Defence FIghter (ADF) in their arsenal, hence the G-2F ADF was born.
The Navy, after seeing the success of the G-2F, ordered some for their own, though those ones are fit for multirole purposes, simply dubbed the G-2F, but due to some specific demands, it suffered some delays to this day. Some say the final product will be so different, it might be called the G-2G.
