LC-1 Landing Craft
The LC-1 was a basic landing craft built for sea-to-ground operations. It contained a simple armament of one AA gun to fend off aerial attacks.
Due to its simplicity, it was able to be modified for many tasks. These ranged from carrying medium loads of cargo to a coastal battle, carrying troops, and bringing in small vehicles.
After the war, most were scrapped for parts. Some that maintained minimal to no damage were refitted and modified for short distance cargo trips across rivers. They were later removed in favor of larger barges and ships.
Specs:
Controls:
Throttle: Move
Yaw: Steer
Fire Guns: Self-Explanatory
Top Speed: 38 Knots
Years of Service: 1944-1947
Tip: Don’t go full speed into the shore unless you want to completely run aground. Approach the shore at a lower speed, perhaps killing the throttle entirely.
Builder Note: Ok, I found a website with different kinds of support ships and stuff. I decided I’m going to make some smaller boats. Sub-chasers, motor torpedo boats, some of those things.
I also have a battleship and modified my cruiser. Those will be coming either later today or tomorrow. I've also started on a destroyer, look for that sometime next weekend?
