SU1946 stands for Simple Universe 1946, it is a series of late-WWII (or prototypes) planes plus some fiction. Planes in this series would have significantly better performance than their historical counterpart, and would receive a "Z" in their names to distinguish them from other, more accurate replicas.

This is the Simple Universe version of a Su-9 with all-moving horizontal tail (Tselnopovorotnoye gorizontalnoye opereniye in Russian, abbreviated as TsPGO). This is set to be the Soviet response to the Me 262 HG II PR the traditional Su-9 KZs encountered in Chinese Civil war. However, due to the constant problem of tailplane stalling, the improvement in mobility was minimal, and the Allies didn't even notice the difference before they found different tail mechanisms from downed Su-9 TsPGOs.

The Performance is largely the same with the tradionally-tailed Su-9 KZ.

Armaments:
2x 23mm NS-23 autocannon (80 damage, 9 round per second, 690m/s muzzle velocity)
1x 45mm NS-45 autocannon (2500 damage, 4 rps, 780 m/s)
2x Guardian missiles (simulating early Cold-war air-to-air missiles)
10 pylons for mounting missiles and /or bombs and rockets. 2 are occupied by the missiles in the default configuration.

If you are mounting large ordnance on the outer pylons, please remember to jettison them before landing, as they could easily hit the ground and explode.

CAUTION! Requires the Hispano-Suiza 20mm mod to work properly. If your problem persists even with the mod, try using the Overload and Fine Tuning mod as well.

CAUTION! Due to the fact that we have extremely overpowered engines on SU1946 planes, you need to be extra careful when accelerating these planes. Suggest pushing your stick forwards and do not exceed 20% throttle when taking off. Also, I do not advise flying this plane with keyboard only, but it is entirely flyable with mouse joystick.
