JAI-X040A Snapdragon
The Snapdragon is the culmination of JAI's experiments in segmented wings. Its a fast, agile plane. The controls are quite snappy hence the name Snapdragon.
In its design, only the vertical stabilizers/rudders are of conventional design. The first and the third pair of wings can act as air brakes. The second pair doubles as ailerons. The fourth pair is trimmable for pitch trim and acts as flaps. The fifth pair is the elevons.
Warnings:
-Don't pitch up while on the ground. The elevons will hit the ground and flip the plane. When taking off, use full throttle, the plane will take off by itself
-Don't use air brakes while touching down. The downward-pointing wingtips will connect the ground and be damaged. Using the airbrakes at altitude or on the ground is ok.
The usual controls, Trim for pitch trim/flaps.
