impeccable

I have good ideas for new aircraft, and this is just the beginning, stay tuned!
I'm working on a lot of things about the planes, like the designations.
but let's go to this plane now

Project history

The project began in the early 1960s, with rumors of a super-fast and maneuverable Soviet "Super Fighter" (something that would be augmented by the MiG-27) were coming up, and along with that with airplane designs, with some being unrealistic, and some really good. This one was among those that seemed to have a future.
The project did not have complete drawings, only the concept of a high-altitude and speed interceptor to destroy bombers and, mainly, the soviet "Super fighter". The project was accepted and the aircraft did some ground tests, with the plane's fuselagen having to be designed to fly at over Mach 2 for a long time, which was a complete challenge, with several tests with different materials, with titanium being too difficult to handle due to the shape of the plane, with many within the company believing the project would be an astronomical failure, with new technologies having to be developed from scratch for this plane.
After several tests, the plane was tremendously modified to make it easier to produce, which was ultimately successful. The project finally started to take a less catastrophic turn, and then it was time for the actual flight tests.
The plane was noted for its rapid acceleration, also being quite unstable at low speed, but not impossible to control. But the major problem was the VERY high stall speed, with this being an issue that was never resolved due to the layout of the plane having. In the supersonic tests, the plane was very stable above mach 1.
The design was accepted for service as an intercept aircraft in 1971, but never saw combat, because the plane never reached the speed of the MiG-27, let alone the MiG-31, in addition to the project being outdated very quickly, with many other planes surpassing its performance in many things. Despite this, the latest versions are still in service today, mainly as a testbed aircraft, due to their high payload capacity and being incredibly easy to modify.
The ones that still serve as fighters are doing well in their purpose.

Controls

normal plane controls
Read the instructions for more information.
it's hard to land, and flaperons are basically airbrakes, plus it's inverted when lowering, so be careful!
