Helicopter Challenge (CLOSED)
Helicopter Challenge + HELP for beginners
I have enjoyed building various types of helicopters on different helicopter principles recently. But I see very few helicopters compared to airplanes on this site. So let's bring up a Heli Challenge (also sharing basic knowledge for NEWBIES about helicopters)
Deadline: 27th January 2023
BASIC BUILD RULES -
- Must be a successor of this post
- Helicopters on all different principles are accepted.
- I prefer around 60 - 120 parts but stay under 600.
- Adding descriptions, photos, and history - describe the year of introduction, - Manufacturer, Country of origin, variants, Specifications, etc., will make your aircraft more exciting and meaningful for me.
- You can submit up to five but will consider only the best one for winning. ALL decent builds MAY BE upvoted or spotlighted instantly.
- XML is allowed, and weight and drags can be modified
- Refrain from overdoing the ammo and armor, be realistic.
Help for those who are new to helicopters (or just a newbie)
Welcome to newcomers!
I saw there are very few helicopters on this site. Helicopters are harder to build and tricky to fly. So I want to help those who got difficulty with it. I could give cretic about your build, help you out if you have difficulty with basic physics, and you can post again with a better one (up to 5 entries). I could help as far as I have some spare time. Must be a successor of this post, please!

Unfortunately, there were more than 350 downloads initially, but not many people joined the challenge; I know making nice flying helicopters is tricky. if you need help with helicopters, you are welcome.
This is my forum on helicopter principles/types of helicopters, and in the future, I am planning to make a video to help you make a helicopter may be easier -

@Aarav okay sure
@WinsWings you have a challenge going on but promise me you'll be active to help me on my Fokker 27 :)
Oh no, I have one day
@TylerWildDog don’t worry about the cockpit. I don’t care much
May not have a cockpit, but it's only a possibility
@WinsWings thanks for letting me know. I am uploading my first submission now.
@Thesovietempire sure
Can you use gyroscopes for added stability?
Helicopters are out of my comfort zone, but I’ll still try!
@CaptainFranchfries ask Mod Vincent, Serra, they are very helpful - if you are not a successor, it looks like that I am giving award to someone I favor- so to be clear with your competitors - you should be a successor. Hope you understand me
- by the way, you did a great job
@WinsWings I have an Osprey like craft posted, but it didn’t mark itself as a successor. Its a problem I have ran into many time before, and I have already asked a mod to try and fix it. But just in case it isn’t fixable, here’s the link. Hope this isn’t too much of a problem
