Description:

2x Guardian SSAAMs
6x Interceptor “6AAM”
1x Minigun
Grouping:
1 - Parachute
Backstory:
Originally known as the S-37, Sukhoi redesignated its advanced test aircraft as the Su-47 in 2002. Officially nicknamed Berkut (Golden Eagle), the Su-47 was originally built as Russia's principal testbed for composite materials and sophisticated fly-by-wire control systems. The project was launched in 1983 on order from the Soviet Air Force. But when the USSR dissolved, funding was frozen and development continued only through funding by Sukhoi. Like its US counterpart, the Grumman X-29, the Su-47 was primarily a technology demonstrator for future Russian fighters.

Unit Cost:
$70,000,000
Notes of the Aircraft:
A nimble fighter with lots of armament, it’s a great fighter to have and fly. While not supermaneuverable, it can still go toe to toe with many fighters of the time.

@randomusername No problem, RU. Apology accepted.
@FranzPeterSiegfried I saw. I’ll definitely give it a look. Thanks!
@FranzPeterSiegfried sounds awesome! Tag me when it’s complete!
Sadly lol that would be cool @Thelegitpilot13
@ACEPILOT109 X-29 = Su-47 / 2 + Thrust Vectoring Control. Such an underrated plane, the X-29 is. Hell, it made its own maneuver (Herbst maneuver, like a J-turn but in the air). And FSW aircraft always look better for that coolness factor. Too bad it’s very impractical for military and civilian uses.
Just going back to see some of the stuff I missed.
Also this is soooooooooo coooool! I made a X-29 like 10 days ago, that’s the American version of this basically, and I have to say this is pretty good! I love the swept forward wing planes! Wish there where more! Why so many (!) in my comments!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@FranzPeterSiegfried Glad you enjoy! Arguably one of my favorites too, since it has such a unique look compared to most Sukhoi aircraft.
