@CatWhoCanHaveFactory im not an expert but i will try to give some advice. first of all, most japanese aircraft carriers from WW2 are re-build ships, a battleship or other ship converted into an aircraft carrier. this can be seen in some designs, you can clearly see the battleship hull or the original hull. Second, when you have the hull first try to build the main structure between the hull and the deck, make it high enough for AA guns etc. do not fill the entire hull but leave some space for support beams at the front and back or things like that. when you have the structure you can make the deck, like on this build with 2 blocks per section (one for the base and one slightly above the other for the wooden color of the deck). To decorate the ship you can lookup certain japanese carriers for the lines on the deck, placement and shape of AA guns (i have some turretpacks which you can use). I hope this helps somewhat but again, i'm not an expert
