1957 Chevorlet Bel Air PPHC
a what if Ken Block inspired design
design inspiration/idea
A little bit after the creation of my original 1957 Chevy Bel Air, I had the thought to make a pikes peak hill climb variant of it, and drew out a basic design that i then expanded on to create this beast of a vehicle. I took a lot of inspiration from Ken blocks hoonipigisus, and the wide body kit that they made for that car, and then worked on the aero pieces, the front splitter, side skirts, wing, and defuser. I tried to use information about aerodynamics that i learned about from the unveiling video about the hoonapig, and incorperate some of those same principles into the design.
There are definitely areas where i could have made it more aerodynamic, but this is at over 650 parts and my phone was not able to go much past that, so it there are any handling discrepancies, I apologize as i couldn't run it well enough to see them. I was going to put my te-37s on this but the part count would have jumped 150 parts by the time i added them and the one wheel i tried it on broke so i wasn't able to add them.
The powerplant is ment to be a 427 with twin turbo chargers, that i estimate would make around 1000-1200hp. The car would have a sequential transmission, and 4WD, with front and rear Limited slip differentials (LSD), and with the aero, should keep it glued to the road on the windy hill climb route. The whole goal was to make a pikes peak hillclimb car of something that shouldn't be in the race, and i feel like i succeeded in making a design that captures the original design language of the original car, while expanding and adapting modern aero and technology into the car. I hope you Like it as much as I do!
Keep looking to the stars

wicked man
look, i'll just put it this way.
If i see one of these on the road, i'm sure as hell not gonna try to drag race it. This thing looks like it can really pick up and go.
Great work!
