History: Designed as a variant of the planned Junkers Ju-388, the Ju-388 L-4a was meant to succeed the L series (which were supposed to act as night bombers). The Ju-388 L-4a had an internal capacity of two 250kg bombs, which wasn't much for its size. It was mostly meant to get it and out as quickly as possible. The Ju-388 was eventually built and used, but it was too little too late to save Nazi Germany.
