Thanks for your support and/or participating in my poll when trying to decide whether to make the Albatross DIII or the Fokker Dr.I. I hope you guys enjoy it.
@Authros Is there anywhere I can find information on doing "real" modding like you mention (not just editing the XML save file)? Seems like there is a lot of potential I still haven't tapped into in this game. A week or so ago I made this aircraft (was my first time editing XML files) and it just doesn't even compare to yours, in looks or performance! You can check it out if you'd like in my profile. My jaw is still on the floor with this one.
Ladies and gents, I'm attempting to upload a mobile-friendly version (beta wheels removed, trim disabled, etc.) but it's telling me it still requires beta. I'd love to share this aircraft with the mobile/tablet community as well, any tips would be appreciated.
@DeezNuts52 Thanks Deez, I've learned a lot since I made this plane. I plan to revisit my fictional "MS" series after I hone my skills a bit more with some replicas. I've been on a WWI / WWII kick recently, maybe it's time to return to the jet era?
@Authros Something I'd like to learn from you is how to do the afterburners like you do - they add so much power. When I try to do the same by adding VTOL engine(s) and ports, I get maybe 100-200kts out of it, not 600+ like yours gives.
I'm a huge fan of this aircraft (I think it's the sexiest aircraft in service today!) and you did such an excellent job replicating it in the game. Wish I could upvote twice.
@AndrewGarrison @Tully2001 @YodelMister @Wahoo12 Thanks everyone for the kind words and support! I'm trying to decide what era to build next. I'm thinking something that requires a bomber jacket, goggles, and a sweet scarf?
Half of your points came from upvotes on your forum post saying, "Hi" lol. This obsession with points kills me. How about we talk about planes on this forum?
@SimpleTechAndResearch I've been looking for an excuse to make a prop plane, and a p-38 is a sweetheart worth the time. This weekend I'll see what I can do!
Nice job, I just finished my first XML designed project as well...phew - more work than I ever thought it would be! Funny, I had the opposite problem with the landing gear, my 1:1 scale project left the gear looking tiny. GJ!
the way you guys who know how to do it are making fully functional rotorheads and swashplate assemblies just....amazes me... keep it up, this helo bubba's impressed
nice, try fiddling with symmetric on your main wings to prevent her pulling up so hard - or make your elevators semi-symmetric or flat bottom. Cool plane man!
I started a new aircraft...took the cockpit off and it's still in pieces. Something to do with structural panels I guess... really sucks to lose a day's free time.
@SimpleTechAndResearch @Xqdar @AndrewGarrison thanks very much, I was successful! updating tag for this thread to solved.

@Wahoo12 I'm about a day out from the big release. The lil' bugger turned out to be more time consuming than I had anticipated.

@RetryxGT Interesting question - sorry but I'm not (had to Google Growtopia).
Why
Darn it, a 2:2 tie isn't helping me!
@SUPERSAMROCK Thanks!!
Test
@Wahoo12 I'm leaning toward this: https://www.simpleplanes.com/Forums/View/299285 I think I've learned enough to do Manfred von Richthofen justice.
Posting to notify us you made a post?

Handles like a dream, and that gun sounds awesome in cockpit view.
ahhhhh trim. happy happy happy
@Salvador3031 Improvement?
@SimpleTechAndResearch
As promised, I present the P-38 at 1-1 scale. This was my most involved project so far.
Nice little jet! Flew her around for a tank of gas worth :)
@General360 sorry about that :( I should have annotated it in the title

@AchillesDeath Thanks!

@SimpleTechAndResearch Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for the feedback.
awesome job, i just finished making this aircraft as my first XML-edited build and first non-fictional build, was tough! Yours looks fantastic.
@SimpleTechAndResearch Thanks!
Good job on this m8, looks great for no XML edits!
cool look and flies well - curious what was the intention with the floating guns?

@Glaceon Thanks! Let me know what you think when you fly her!
this thing is awesome
and so it is written....

looks pretty sweet!
Flies extremely well - nice job m8.
youve cat to be kitten meow. this is ridiculous
I had to save this just so it would fly around in my sandbox games! Sounds cool with those engines, and it's fun to shoot down :P

@jetspeed1001 figured you might like this one
wasnt able to hit anything, but cool setup

@salvador3031 what do you think?
sexy, feels like its made to do exactly what you said...anti-ground
i don't think people realize what an accomplishment it is to have made this aircraft in simpleplanes....extremely impressed - good job.
@goboygo1 Thanks! Check out the armed one (successor). :)
