I used to play simplerockets then. In the game there is a line that says "visit Simplerockets subreddit".. so i did and discovered reddit.com. After a few weeks of loitering in the sub the devs posted about their new game called Simpleplanes...
Also for us early adopters, the devs gave away pc versions of the game for free. That made me a fan of their work so I kept playing :)
front driver's side suspension is stuck + you have a stray fuselage block a few meters from the back of the car. Other than that, this is a very nice car!
thats Cthulhu. he is just sunbathing and is generally nice towards simplepilots. You can converse with him if you are skilled enough to land inside his brain cavity
@SpiritusRaptor Thanks! I tried doing that.. it didnt work.
I also tried studying this but could not understand it at all. It probably has to do with its oversized wing as as sail. So far I could not replicate how it moves upwind so easily.
you can use a detached VTOL engines for that. leave the vtol engine on the ground with its own fuel and intakes then use vtol nozzles to propel your plane. it even works underwater.
make sure your springs dont extend/compress when folded.
also (im not sure if it still works but,) try to stick the frequently broken part to disabled detachers. they have super high grip on whatever they're attached to
@WNP78 Turns out, i was just running a slightly older version of the game. I didnt know there was a new update from steam until i checked last night :) I can edit the said commands now.
@WNP78 yes. I also tried editing it through the xml file but dragScale and calculateDrag reverts to original if i load the plane. diffuseInertiaTensors also acts the same way.
nice tutorial! please lower the volume of the music on your next video so it is easier to hear your voice.

@IStoleYourMeme no need to credit me as this is not my idea. i found it on a dragonfly ornithopter 1 or 2 years ago.
zeroOnDeactivate is set to false by default on all parts except the engines.
maybe this set up is what you need. it has zeroOnDeactivate on the hinge rotator
