@ToeTips
Maybe after this you wanna make a reverse swept single engine fighter?
I know you like the SU-47 so that could be fun. Thrust-vectoring PSM and all.
@BaconEggs
Thanks for checking the em charts though. I knew deltas had really poor sustained turns, but I've only flown straight and swept wings in DCS so I would know quite how bad it would be.
Great build though!
Anything could beat me no matter what I'm in. I suck at dogfighting lol.
I guess it's mostly just the engine power that's throwing me off. The deceleration in a turn seems about right, but getting up to speed is the problem, I've never exceeded 400kts.
@BaconEggs
Yes I'm aware delta wing aircraft can pull a lot of AoA, but just about anything could beat this in a dogfight.
I do love this though, great job.
Also, someone asked the same thing, but what does NACAPROP make the wings do?
Everyone either says it flies great or terribly. I’m not familiar with the Mirage III or any Mirage, but I can grantee this is not how it would fly. I know the Mirage III is a decent fighter, and this has about zero engine power (although it is more realistic on takeoff then most SimplePlanes aircraft are) and at around 200-250knts it sit at around 5 degrees of AoA which is far too much. I would add more lift just to decrease the amount of AoA it flies at and how much it pulls when turning.
AND GUYS, DO NOT THINK I’M HATING
This is beautiful and the engine is awesome!
I LOVE the vapor cones or whatever you call it!
If you wouldn’t mind I would post a version of this with a few upgrades and I would give all credit to you!
@realSavageMan
Great build, I love it!
Just a few nickpicky things though. Typically the front seat is the gunner, I’m not framiliar with this aircraft, but I’m assuming this is the same. Secondly the rudder pedal are inverted. Really common mistake, the rudder pedals move opposite to a bicycle’s handlebars, and also the rudder pedals tilt forward for braking.
@ToeTips
Do you have any clue how much easier this would be if the devs just made the VTOL nozzles be able to connect to different engines like wheels do?
@ToeTips
I just looked at another Yak-141 build and I think I have an idea.
VTOL nozzles inside the aircraft over the CoM to preduce the thrust, and all other engines have powerMultiplier set to 0. Using a piston we can have another VTOL nozzle with powerMultiplier set to 0. The piston extends when the afterburner is on, making the exhaust from the powerless VTOL nozzle appear.
@ToeTips
I wanted it to work like it doesn irl, but maybe we can use the VTOL nozzles while still having afterburners.
I’ll make a post and tag you on it, it’s be our ideas board thingy.
@ToeTips
Or you could say, hehe, the PILOT’S seat.
Are you particularly good with vtols that operate like the Yak-141 and the F-35?
If you are maybe you could set up the main vtol system. I’ve tried before, but I couldn’t get it to balance very well. It was an tilting engine at the back and an engine point pointing down at the front to mimic how it works with real aircraft.

Which one, I can!t find the right version
@ToeTips
That’s the thing… I already did text her
@ToeTips
+1Lol
@Mason08 because yes
+2@32
Smart
@jamesPLANESii not wrong one bit
Impressive, most impressive
But really, did you just make that in photoshop and slap it onto a disc holder thingy?
@ToeTips
YO
THIS IS NUMBER ONE ON HOTTEST
LET’S GOOOO

Who else after reading the warning immediately downloaded this and landed it in the water?
Try it… It’s fun
+4@ToeTips
Eh, it’s not going great
We haven’t texted in a while
@ToeTips
Thank you, kind sir.
(I guess I’m all fancy now)
@ToeTips
Bro how do you know?
This is exactly the same way I feel.
Same with when I get a text… especially from, koff koff
someone
@ToeTips
Give me EVERYTHING
I WANT TO BE TAGGED FOR EVERYTHING
I mean please

It’s coming together
@BaconEggs
Nice
@BaconEggs
+1Cool, you fly in DCS?
@BaconEggs
Btw if you don't mind I might upload WIP aircraft in the chrome style, it looks awesome

Hey, still need some cockpits? I’m always open to help with cockpits.

It was called Pilot 1 and Pilot 2
@realSavageMan
Can’t wait to see this on the front page!

@Ezbbmm2006
I know this is an old post, but if you need anything with the cockpit I can help!
Upvoted.
Hehe, builded
@ToeTips
Yeah
@ToeTips
+1How’s the VTOL system going?
@ToeTips
+1Do you have any clue how much easier this would be if the devs just made the VTOL nozzles be able to connect to different engines like wheels do?
@ToeTips
+1I make a prototype VTOL system and tag you. Don’t worry, it’ll be unlisted. Afterward I’ll start working on the main build.
@ToeTips
Did you start on the model or should I?

@ToeTips
Well I’m struggling a bit here, the testing rig just doesn’t want to work. Got any ideas?
So is anyone actually doing this?
I did it
+2We all know this is gonna make it to the front page.

Maybe a Yak-141/Yak-41?
@PannerTerkins
Would it be possible to enter a collaborative build made by me and someone else working together?
@ToeTips
Hmm good question
